grabFIX Studio was founded in 2006 and was officially incorporated in October 2007. grabFIX provides simple and effective digital design solutions for the motion graphics design, vector illustration, broadcast multimedia, music video, corporate video editing, tv commercial and architectural rendering. The name grabFIX is derived from 'grab' meaning grab and FIX standing for ‘Fine Illustration plus Extraordinary’. He likes to grab and fix at the same time no matter what the situation is. Its good for you to grab a big opportunity but don't even try to FIX things that you don't really know or even try to grab things that is unreachable.

grabFIX consists of six dedicated passion freelancer that can provides excellent creative works. Amin Kamis the multimedia enthusiast, Refa & Sharif Ali the 3D artist, Nizam the illustrator, Apis the motion artist and Chloe Khong the multi-disciplined designer.

Mohd Amin Kamis 阿民 (creative director)
Amin Kamis or amink, the eldest of five children, was born in Labuan but currently resides in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur. His love affair with multimedia and all things graphic started at the tender age of sixteen. He witnessed many types of visual movements. TV is his main muse when it comes to visualisation and motion design in his mind. Also, he was impressed with 'Yamakasi', the concept of movement in the universe. He is a very private person. His words are few but his imagination precedes what is found today.

Amin Kamis is a Multimedia University(MMU) graduate with a major in film & animation. And he has previously worked with a post production house and mobile content company. He enjoys badminton and martials art.

Redha Fansuri Ahmed Fauzi (3D artist)
Refa or Fansuri is an architectural drop out from UiTM with a Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia (Film & Animation) from Multimedia University(MMU). He did his internship at Flare Studios and has more than 4 years experience in 3d visualization under his belt. Previous experience also includes conducting 3d visualization class teaching MICROGDS to architectural students during his diploma years in UiTM. An avid 3d art enthusiast, a talented artist and photographer.

Fansuri is a (bit of) perfectionist. He likes to work smart and efficient. He quotes himself as visionary and realistic. He enjoys watching ‘serious’ movies and ping pong.

Shahnizam Shariff (illustrator)
Nizam holds a Graduate Degree in Illustration from the prestigious UiTM, Melaka. In lieu with that, his forte is of course, Illustration, with a given concentration in color manipulation. He has previously worked with a Mobile Creative Content Company for 2 years.

Nizam currently resides in Cheras with his family. He is passionate about movies and is an avid t.v. series and mp3 music collector. Nizam is always in the know regarding the latest fashion do's and don’ts and in his free time, enjoys making noise… he is even self proclaimed as ‘syok sendiri’!

Mohd Rahafidz Abd Rahman or Apis (motion designer)
Mohd Rahafidz or Apis holds a Degree from the prestigious Multimedia University(MMU), with his majoring in film & animation. Since graduating, he has worked exclusively in editing and compositing in a local Drama. Besides that, he has also dabbled in working as a designer/editor for local and international companies.

Apis acquires his creative inspiration from John Dickinson, a well-known Motion Graphic Artist, with his focal point being more of an abstract concept. Currently renting an apartment in PJ with a colleague, Apis enjoys just chilling out with his buddies and sipping ‘teh tarik’ at the local mamak joint.

Chloe Khong Yuen Yee (multi-disiplined designer)
Chloe Khong is a talented, multi-disciplined designer. She obtained a Diploma in Graphic Design from Saito College, and has previously worked in an events management company for one year.

In her spare time, Chloe likes to travel as she is always curious about new cultures and experiences. She also enjoys watching Japanese cartoons, especially ones directed by the famous Animation Director, Hayao Miyazaki.

Chloe continues to make vast leaps in incessant improvement and is always looking to better herself. She also picks up new information quickly, and makes for a wonderful apprentice. She routinely does tasks related to print advertising and publishing but would like to venture into works related to dynamic media which is video.

Sharif Ali (3D artist)
Currently residing in Ampang with his family, Sharif Ali enjoys playing video games on his PlayStation 3. He is also an avid movie watcher who likes to compose beautiful images as apparent by his digital photography hobby. Just by looking at him, you would never be able to guess that this guy enjoys karaoke… although his singing is solely restricted to his bathroom!

Sharif Ali is a UiTM Shah Alam graduate with a major in Graphic Design. His deep passion for anything ‘3D’ is definitive by his insatiable thirst in that particular arena. Sharif Ali has a strong background in multimedia since he has worked with several multimedia companies in the same industry. He is continuously looking for ways to expand his knowledge in 3D and hopes to see more of highly creative experimental techniques in the animation industry.
